Plow width

    Does anyone know the maximum legal plow with allowed for transport in Pennsylvania for a pick-up mounted snow plow. I have looked at the Gov't website , contacted Penn DOT and contacted the State Police and no one seems to know. Thank You

    102" wide. Same as the width of a trailer in PA. Anything beyond will require a permit unless it is municipal.

    8'6" is typically the max width for anything in most states. That said, you can have a wider plow so long as when it is angled it is less than 8'6" in width when traveling on the roadway.
