In the middle of plowing today and the plow wouldn't angle left. When you hit left it would go up. When you pushed up it would go up, Right would go right and down was down, but left was up. I thought maybe it was the control going bad so I grabbed my spare. that one didn't work either. When I pushed left it would go up. When I left off and pushed left again it would shut off the controller and I had to turn it back on. It also seems that it isn't lift as fast as before either. Needing to keep working I decided to take the plow of and just put the other one for my other truck on. That Plow did the same thing. So I grabbed another control module that I have and put that in the truck. Same results. At that point I just took my other truck to finish the jobs. I noticed that when I took the plow off the truck that it says my high beams are on all the time even when they will change from bright to not as bright, however the lights are extremely dim on either setting. Must be something wrong in the wiring but I don't know what it is. I'm sure this has happened to someone before. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think it can be something on the plow, Has to be in the wiring on the truck. I tried a 2nd fisher plow I have on the truck and it did the same thing. Also the headlight issues is with the plow disconnected from the truck. Its the truck headlights not the plow lights.

then its a ground or a broken wire in the control harness

Tighten the wires at the solenoid - pay attention to the black orange wire, then go to the grill connector.....do you have a 3 plug setup with an ISO module? When you say "control module"...you mean ISO module?? How many port on your ISO module? Is this spare brand new, and is it the same color and part number as the one that was originally in the truck?

Yes I mean ISO, and yes it is a 3 port. It is also brand new. I don't know about the part numbers matching never checked. They are both black.

Look on the label on the ISO, the color of the sticker, and the part number....these are truck specific, and can cause other issues.... Meaning you may create additional problems in your already ongoing issues. Chances are they're the same ...but...

the colors are different so I put the older one back on. Didn't use the plow with the other one on just tried it. The plow is only 2 years only but maybe the wire or wires at the plug broke or came loose. The 3 pin one that plugs into the plow. More snow coming Saturday have to get it fixed!!

Just hooked the plow up to try and fix the problem and now the plow won't do anything. When I push any of the buttons I hear the solenoid click and it shuts the controller off. Is the solenoid bad?

Is this a new install...have you used it on this plow and truck flawlessly before?

It worked fine and then its stopped angling left, unhooked the plow and now rehooked it and it doesn't work at all. As soon as I hit anything now it shuts the controller off.

Start by replacing the solenoid.....have the lights always been like this, or is this a new symptom?

Lights weren't like this before, They were doing this with the plow off, now with the plow on they are working fine.

Was the light situation with JUST the spare module that you put in the other day? Now that you've put the original one back in, is it working properly..have you checked?

Make absolutely sure that the plugs are in the right location (where the hearneses plug into the ISO...they're marked A B C ...or 1 2 3 4 depending if you have a 3 or 4 port ISO. In fact, unplug them, and re plug them in, make sure they're sitting all the way into position, you'll hear a click.

All Plugs are in tight, everything is tight and no corrosion.
