Just picked up a 01 Chev 2500hd with a 8.2 Boss V plow RT3 smart hitch. The plow side 11 pin plug has a pin broken so I need to fix it. The plug repair kit is $34 from the local dealer and the 11 pin plow side harness from ESI is $59.

I would think replacing the complete harness for $25 additional dollars would be the most relieable long term and less likely to have in the field issues.

Is there something I'm missing here? Is replacing the whole harness a pain compared to splicing all those wires?

Seems like a no brainer to me to replace the entire harness for that money

It will take roughly a hour to replace the entire harness, its easy. I've done a few on a couple different plows.
