The plow is a 6 year old 7.5 mmII. A hose was leaking and I put a new hose on and the pkow does nothing but whine with no movement. After running the plow back and forth by a strap and a tree still nothing. So I take the cover off of the motor to inspect and find nothing but a lot of rust. I went to put it back together and some how broke the cast aluminum plate that holds the brushes on under the the top cap. And I can spin the copper windings by hand very easy, meaning the pump. Is this fixable or should I have it rebuilt or buy a new whole unit.

Take a picture and post it up. It will help out if we can see it.

I'm thinking thats your issue. You will want to get all the air out of the system and make sure it's full.
