plow only operates with truck in park

    I have a meyer plow that worked fine yesterday. Today it will only operate if my truck is in park. Any ideas?

    Is the shifting mechanisim rubing against the plow harness?? That is a wierd one.. One should have nothing to do with the other..

    DRL & Controller Power wires reversed/shorted, in harness?

    That was the problem! The wire to the controller was getting pinched where it enters between the dash and steering column/shifter. Thanks!!

    Had one yesterday that wouldn't funtion unless the brake pedal was pressed. Didn't take long to find that one. :D

    The way some installers route wiring it's a wonder there's not more trucks burned to the ground then there is. Never ceases to amaze me. :yow!:
