Is it normal for the relay to heat up quite a bit? I've been having issues with my system (not working). I've been troubleshooting, and I think the controller is shot. But that's a another issue. In the process of checking things out I realized the back of the relay was getting quite warm/hot. The terminals seemed fine, though.

as long as it clicks and still works and doesnt melt or start on fire you should be good to go.

I would replace it and keep it in the parts bucket for a spare. Make sure all the terminals are clean and protected with Dielectric grease. I put a truck back in service at 3AM with my spare one storm.
