Hello, I have a 25d series and was wondering what steps I need to go about to maintain the hydraulic system on this plow. I just checked the fluid and it is a little low, I would like to add some but not sure about what kind of fluid to add. Or if I wanted to do a drain and refill how would I do that or is that something to stay away from. Any help would be appreciated.

Doing a drain flush and refill is always a good idea. particularly since your plow is 6 or 7 years old.

go to http://www.snoway.com/service/Owner Manuals/97100200E.pdf and http://www.snoway.com/service/Fenner Repair/97100036A.pdf to down load the manual then follow the instructions for service.

It's never good to mix fluids. If you don't know whats in yours it's best to drain and flush it and refill with a premium Snowplow fluid. Stick with Snoway if you can but Boss makes a very good fluid as well, and Meyer's hydra-flush is a great flush, cheaper then using fluid and compatible with everything.

    Good Luck

    Yearly for sure.

But then He'd spend all his time hanging out with you waiting to get his truck or plow fixed. On the plus side he'd learn to hate people:rolleyes:

The boss site must be so lame that Payton has to hang out here. Either that or the boss site has some many people on it complaining how bad their boss plow is... :D :D :D

Snofarmer should read my post again. I was giving Payton a hard time about hanging out in the snoway thread. Then again Snofarmer must be getting so senile he can't remember what he reads or comprehend it :D :dizzy:

The eminent snowplow pornocologist Dr. Semen Fraud, would diagnosis this as a case of "name substitution empowerment syndrome," demonstrated by the use of a famous sports figure name, and the womble relationship between the name " the Boss" and the hierarchical structure in the common moral and sociopathical patterns. This leads to a requirement to subject others to misconceived ramblings of erroneous information in an insensitive manner. Feeding their own delusions of self grandeur while appearing to exist a spiritual plan only available to the satiric or insane.:jester:

Of course the Dr. is a noted quack.

Ya, I know how the threads go. But out of the blue payton jumps in with his witty remark.
You know what it's like when a ford guy jumps in to a Dodge thread and slams mopars.
All your doing is stirring the pot.

hey, I'm all for having fun and having a good heated debate as much as the next guy.;)

I thought both of you would be at the bottom of the stairs by now
with the other Slinkies. :bluebounc purplebou :redbounce
