I'm thinking about a plow. My question is in the wiring. As far as the lights do they plug in the existing wiring harness and connectors or is it a cut and splice

you get like a Y connector that plugs into your headlamp housing plug, then one side goes to the plow lights and the other side to the truck harness.
    What brand by the way?

If you are buying a new plow, most mfg's use inline relays to switch between plow and truck headlights. Then there is no cutting and splicing needed. Also when it's time to trade trucks, the removal process is much cleaner and quicker.
