I bought this 7.6 meyer plow for $75 from a friend. I have another friend who just took a 7.6 fisher wear bar off his plow and I am gonna put it on this plow because in the left in the one pic there is a chunk missing from the bar. But I thought I got a good deal. It will be good to do the drive and road to my camp. I am gonna keep the bucket on and make brackets for the back of the bucket and a chain around the hook on top of the bucket to raise it. here are the pics. I will have pics of it on tractor when it is one the tractor.

I would mount that inside your bucket

IMO any down pressure on that blade will destroy the A frame

Yikes...I agree Crete. But for $75 why not give it a shot?

    oh ya I almost forgot

Make sure you mount it in the bucket far enough out to allow for angling

any ideas to mount it in the bucket? I know my loader has a float stage on the lever.

Weld some ears on the inside/botm of the bucket to pin the A frame to

Then tie the chain to the hook like you said

Even with the boom in float i think the weight of the boom alone would be to much for the A frame

just get an old meyer frame chop everything off it expect the part where the plow mount and weld it into the bucket. we had that set up on are backhoe and we had a rented backhoe that had the same thing in it.

Looks like it is going to break the first thing it hits.

well it is a very solid plow. on the top and stuff there are leafs frozen to the back of the blade. there is no rot on it at all.

started mounting today. here is the frame. i decided to put it under the the bucket because it is the best way. i think it will be ok. and if it breaks it will only be $75 not a big deal. I have to weld some brackets to the back of the bucket.

It doesn't look like it's going to angle more than a few degrees. Also, are you sure you want to mount this in spring & deal with the brackets for 6 mos. for nothing. JMO
