I cant imagine using anything but a handheld velcro'd to my right thinh. I lay my arm on the console and my hand is right there at the buttons.

But if I had to mount a joystick Id custom pro mount it to the drivers door and control it with my left hand.

sick of the hand geld, i get in and out of truck too much to have something hooked to my leg...

i had a friend do one that would clamp around his auto shifter...

personally , i like the left side.... for a few reason, when hitting the pile its best to let go of ur steering wheel, let it free rotate, puts a little less stress on all the sterring joints...

i can run the plow with the left hand and shift with my right... i think make me faster... and can also run the plow and spreader at the same time..

who needs to hold on to the steering wheel anyway? lol

Love it, thats why I made it the way I did. Never cared for push buttons or hand held controllers. I like the simplicity and mechanical aspect of good old toggle switches. Easy to fix if necessary and very redundant. And if you place them correctly...very natural and comfortable too.

Also not a fan of drilling hole in my trucks so 3M double sided tape is my friend. Thats all that attaches it to the door panel.

Thanks LP, my initial designs usually are "one of a kinds" (what ever it may pertain to). Don't like what everyone else has

Its funny that you say drilling holes in your truck, i dont like the idea also! And my dealer that put that plow on said they stop mounting the controllers because too many guys were complaing on where they where mounted and holes...etc etc!
