We are looking to add a new truck to our fleet.

We currently run older blizzard 810 plows and really don't want to switch.

Can anyone tell me what new trucks I can get a ph1 hitch for?

I believe the current fords will still run the same hitch as before?

We're contemplating a ram 5500, anybody make that work yet?

For ph1 mounts. I'd have to see that.
I believe they stopped masking them around 08-09

I have a 2012 chevy 3500 with a PH1. I used the new mount and cut a push beam down and welded new end plates that slides into the new mount. A couple hours of work all done. You will need to use the new head light wiring but they make a conversion harness for the PH1 headlights that plugs into the iso module. I'm getting ready to do the same to the new 2014 chevy 3500 i just got.

Yes they still do make the PH1 mount for the ford 450 and 550 to run the 8611 the only plow that is still made in PH1.

    Thanks for the replies.

Looks like we'll be able to make it work one way or another.

Might be getting a skidloader instead of a truck anyways.

    2011 F-450 4x4 PH1 810 Non-modified mount. Superduty frames are the same F250 - F550 from 08 - present. Undercarriage # B31251-1

Similar range as in past years of 99 - 07 were all the same mount.

The words "make it work" are what lead me think it needed to be modified.

I stand corrected, however the same PH1 mounts fit all of the above, I have several trucks to prove it.

You can also buy a boss mount and change the push beams. Still some minor tweaking, but nothing crazy hard.

Will you be running an 8611 or an 810 on a 5500?

Because the 8611 (or whatever their designation is now) is still a PH1 hitch. So if all you needed was a hitch, you could just order that hitch and be all set without any modifications.

Actually, it wouldn't matter what plow, that's the hitch you would order.

My issue is I need a PH1 for a '14 Ram 2500. Anyone know if the frames are different on a 2500 vs 4500\5500?

Well crap, they don't make a 8611 hitch for 4500\5500's.

    Custom it is.

Thanks DD, way to meet the needs of your customers.

Mark...is the push beam on an 8611 the same as an 810/LP?
