Paying Subs?

    Could somebody please tell me how much should I pay one of my friends to come around with me and snowblow the sidewalks while I plow? Thanks!

    Ummm, and that person would not be a subcontractor. They would be called an employee, as defined by the IRS, the state, and your insurance company.

    Thanks for the advice. Yes, I realize that this would be an employee. I used the wrong word when I said "sub". I just wanted to know what I should pay him. Again, thanks!

    I usually pay around $15/hour plus meals..Can never give too muvh to the guys outside in the -10 weather and snow, shoveling to make u money.
