Have 2006 Chevy 3/4 switch on dash to turn flashing light on. Can hear it clicking over my head .. How do I get the headliner out to get to it and how does it get to the top of truck? Drill hole? Thanks Gary

From the drivers side of the truck, remove the upper door opening trim which is held in place with spring clips and usually just need a little coaking to pop loose. Pull liner down a little and slide your arm in there. Wires are taped to the headliner, just make sure you grab the right wires and not the ones for the dome light.

You can fish the wire through the opening for the 3rd break light instead of drilling a hole in the roof, great place to add a plug so that you can remove the light in the off seasons.
