just up and died after the last push of the last snowstorm.. Got a good 13 years out of it. It doesn't owe me anything.

Choked a bit at 300 for a new one. but bought it anyway, direct swap. May rebuild the old one to keep on the shelf. Unsure if it is brushes or the whole motor.. may have it looked at.

There was some collateral damage - The old motor must have pulled some serious amps, a section of the wiring must have got so hot, it melted the insulation and shorted out! Cut out the bad section, good as new!

I am sure there would be other winches that would work.. but it was a fast direct swap. Its the only money I spent on the plow over the years.
