We are looking to add a 5yd stainless steel sander to one of our 650s. We had a regular steel one that rotted out quick so we are looking to go stainless. Any opinions on these sanders. More so any advice or feedback on having a remote/wireless setup versus wiring the truck etc.

I have a couple of gas stainless steel Swenson spreaders that are wireless. I have had a few problems with the wireless and have had to replace the receivers. It is handy to be able to switch it to another truck easily if the truck breaks down. If you go this route, make sure you learn how to bypass the remote control and still run the sander.

We just purchased a 4.5 yarder wireless too (just picked it up yesterday). Is it in the manual how to bypass the remote? If not, can you give a quick lesson hear? I loved the idea of a wireless, as like you mentioned, you can switch it to another vehicle pretty easy if the truck goes down. Loosing the remote scares me (I wouldn't mind trying to pick up another one as a spare), or something going wrong with the control box also scares me a bit.
