I wouldn't buy it because it's a 6.5 Diesel... too many bad experiences!

Looks like a nice truck, I have heard mixed reviews about the 6.5L, it doesn't sound a little high in price, but maybe its just me

I like the 2nd one. Does it have central hydralics or electric hoist? 20k for an 06 dump with 11,500 miles seems like a deal, even if it isnt diesel

If the second one is a 4x4 I think its a good deal.

    yeah its 4x4.
the only bad part is, the guy still owes 10k on his loan.

That 06 seems like a sweet deal, diesel would be nice, but then again you will probably save when you fill her up, the way diesel prices are

Thats his problem, not yours. Unless he's selling it for $20k plus you assume the balance owed, meaning he's selling it for $30k...if thats the case, pass.

I'd say go for the second one ( because its more new ) ..but if you decide to buy the first one, a little coat of Fluid film would make it up & running like new!!! :waving: :)

he owes 10K on the loan. only asking 20k for the truck like i said. so all said and done, hes only puttin 10k in his pocket. but it kind of becomes my problem because i cant get it registered till i have the title signed by him over to me....correct?

It's not a problem, you just make the cheque for what's owing out to the lean holder and another cheque out to the seller for the remaining value. If you can afford the 06 go for it, our 2001 dually has a 6L and it's been a great truck and we overload the hell out of it.

Find out where the loan is through and call them. Find out what the payoff is maybe pay it off and the difference to him AFTER he signs the paper work.

Given that its an actual $20k selling price I say go for it, assuming it hasn't had the living hell beat out of it.

2 checks is the right way to go.

im probably gonna put a deposit on it tomorrow. get everything in writing. and hes gonna pay off the loan with his money. its chase bank through gmac. they said he should have the title 5 days after they get the check. then i pay him the 20k

from the looks of it and the way it drives, it shows no signs of beating on. owned by a homeowner.
