Just wondering what you guys think... I found a 8' pro plus. its a 2008 model, has the nighthawk lights. the plow has never been used. its just the plow side and the handheld controller. I can get it for $2700 is that a pretty good deal???

    thanks for any input

yea... never used... he bought a brand new truck and then the plow in 08.... the truck was reposessed before he ever got a chance to use the plow

and no its not that one.... I'm looking at that one too though

Ah... I was just wondering. I'd buy the 8.5 if I had the choice.

what is the weight difference in the two??? I know people put huge plows on 3/4 ton trucks , but I dont want to overload it... it will either go on an f250 or a dodge 2500

    The 8' weighs 805# and the 8.5' weighs 821#. I have an 8.5 with wings on a 2002 Dodge 2500 V10... no problem.

well i have diesels in both trucks... by the numbers, Im probably already overloaded with the 8 footer... im considering the 8.5 its just a lot further drive than the 8'

Yeah... the diesel is a different story weight-wise. I bet you're still ok. Only 17# difference. The 8.5' is no heavier than the 8' with a wad of snow stuck to it. :D

The 8.0' pro plus is 805# plus mount
The 8.5' pro plus is 821# plus mount

I run an 8.5 pro plus with wings on my Dodge 2500
Not a big difference in weight
