Well here we go, I purchased a 2004 F250 XLT FX4 6.0 with 133K and no Mods... I know, I know, but it's a clean, solid truck and I'm getting a steal on it. 8K... I pulled the Oasis report and it's had a healthy life. However like anything else it needed a little work. Plus I had to remove the plow equipment from my 2000 and switch it over. Luckily everything swapped out with no modifications!

EGR Delete, new oil cooler, dummy plugs, stc fitting, blue spring kit, fresh gold coolant, few other little things but it'll make it reliable.

I've been a member there since I was 15! I used to live 2 minutes from there, I'm in Forest Hill now. I listed my other Ford on here and it sold in less than two weeks! A guy from New York drove down and bought it. I miss that truck already, the cost to truly bulletproof these 6.0's is staggering. I love the motor though, when there tuned you cannot beat them! My 5.4 never let me down, however it was underpowered and I think I was getting 8-10 mph loaded pushing snow. Plus she had some body cancer. I'm a but conflicted with this 6.0. Some people say if they have as many miles on them as mine does (133) not to mess with them. A local diesel mechanic told me if nothing's failed at this point to just keep up with good preventative maint. and be prepared to take care of studs, gaskets, and a delete at the first sign of trouble, which may never come. Other mechanics have told me it's not a matter of if, but when the motor's going to go... I've completely rebuilt most of the drivetrain, next is the motor. Whether I start now or roll the dice. One mechanic told me if the truck hasn't had severe issues yet it may be one of the "few" good ones... I know a lot about gas motors, diesels are a new breed to me. I've been doing a lot of research.
