It will save you money, I do know a local company near me that purchases all there Boss plows from the US, the owner told me the big gap in pricing between the two country's is hard to ignore.

For the hour drive either way I would definitely consider a us plow.

General Welding Buffalo or The guy in Virgina who is a sponsor here. Canadian dealers are out to lunch on there pricing. The distributes are greedy and the guys that have to buy from them need to make $$ so he has to add on some $$..

Ive gone as far as Albany and New Hampshire to buy my blizzards.

There is no Duty just the Ontario tax. The us dealer shouldn't charge you there state tax but they prob will. %6 in buffalo is there tax?

question is will Boss honor their warranty here in Canada if you purchase it in the US?? Sometimes thats where you get screwed.

As far as I have been told, a Canadian Dealer can refuse to do warranty on a US purchased plow, However they still do have a full warranty. Depends on your dealer. If you have never done any business with them most won't be to co-operative with warranty.
On the other hand Canadian Boss Dealers are required to do warranty work on any Boss plow that was purchased from a Canadian Dealer even if it was somewhere else. So really there is not much difference.

You wouldn't think there was a difference! I know a friend of mine ran into that with a Boss plow he bought in the states, he had to call the territory reps and chew them a new one to get the blade warrantied here.

Personally getting my plows from my local dealers go a long way at 2am when they break and need to be fixed in the wee hours of the morning!
