For those that have that bid by total snow fall accumulated. What do you guys do for the business that has to be opened up at a certain time and its still snowing. Do you go and clear the lot and only bill for the total amount accumulated after the snow has stopped flying

Or do you go and charge them a fee, say the 2-4 inch price to have them opened up and then charge them again for the total amount of snow accumulated after the snow storm?

    Thanks

Charge the amount cooresponding to total snowfall, regardless of how many times you push.

If you are charging per-time, you can add a flat "open-up" fee... usually around half of the full plow charge depending on size of site. This might often be little more your basic minimum trip charge to run the lanes and entrances. We do this every four inches of accumulation to keep their business open... most customers love seeing our trucks svereal times during those day-long snows.
