Older speedcast problem! HELP!

Discussion in 'Fisher Engineering Discussion' started by Rich Hunter, Oct 12, 2008.

  1. I have a older speedcast plow that I just installed on my 87 Dodge. When I hook up the + battery cable the pump just runs no matter what I do with the joy stick. It is a cable system hooked to big valve with hoses that run to a electric pump it is not belt driven and has a solenoid on top of the motor also the joy stick has two wires coming off the back I am assuming one is the hot to solenoid and one is a ground I have run Northman and Western stuff for years and this is my first Fisher.Would be grateful for any help! Also checked Fishers website and they dont go back that far with their manuals.

Guess what I need to know is where do the two wires on the back of the joystick hook up? Is one a hot and the other goes to the solenoid or is one a ground and the other for the solenoid?
