I have an older Pro-Plow (3-spring) unit that has given me reliable service for years. Lately, I go to use is and nothing happens. I remove the motor cap, clean the the cap contact surfaces & motor brushes, then everything works fine...until the next day when suddenly again nothing works. Strange thing is that I can go out the very next day, without doing anything at all, and suddenly everything works again. All thoughts and ideas on this issue would be extremely appreciated. I'm in Alaska where the snow season is about to kick-in full swing. Thank you.

Start by test lighting the solenoid, then the motor when it's not working. That'll tell you were your getting or not getting power
