Hey guys...first post with new s.n(couldn't log in w old??)
98 chevy 2500hd(8600gvw) bought over summer came with a fisher 7.5 setup ..

looks to be a speedcast. underhood electric/hydro no cable controls just 4 silinoids..

    Problem I'm tinkering with is,
    up down...works great.
    stays up no bleed down...
cycle left to right works fine..

at full right it seems to lock n not wanna move left

    pump comes on...

left ram(fully extended) has pressure in line(at quk connect)..
release pressure from line...plow turns left..

    reconnect left line..
plow cycles again left to right...maybe 20 or so times before locking full right again...

    any ideas fellas ?

gunna replace both quk connects this weekend as there old...n leaking when disconnected..

I am guessing one of your valves is getting stuck when pressure builds from angling all the way. When you release the pressure lets the valve release and start working again until you put at full angle again. I would start by cleaning the valves. Also connect angle ram lines together and check for binding in the plow by moving by hand.

Edit, this is all a guess. Never worked on any of the under hood systems.

    That's my next step...
who ever replaced these quk connects musta screwed something up..

rams won't connect to each other..

right ram has what looks to be a ball valve type connection ..

left has a small stud like sticking out...
n just happens to leak like a faucet when not hooked to truck side

Quick test. Angle the blade until it gets stuck again. Let sit for few minutes and try again. Stuck valve may release if let sit for a few.

    Won't budge..lol
I let it sat for an hr...up or down...wouldn't move...

pump sounds fine first few hits of the switch then(after not moving left) you get the same sound as if you lifted the blade all the way up. and held ur finger on raise for a second or two after fully up...

almost like a pressure build up...

    that being said..
after a few wacks w the hammer I got the left ram(extended ) disco to release ...
Manually depressing the quk connects balls I found truck side to press in much..much easier then the ram side(ram side gave me a nice atf bath)..

I'm hoping the problem is at that connection...

Some of the old meyer connectors were known to do something similar but that shouldn't affect up and down. That what makes me think it is something in the valves. Maybe pressure relief is set too high. Any pics of valve setup?

Sorry misunderstood last post. Thought you said it wouldn't move up or down. Could be the connectors. Can you connect the angle lines without the quick connects. Can't remember which style were junk but think it was the ball style.

    thanks bud!

new connects are in. no leaks.
    up down great.
    angled ggreat.

centered and dropped blade, top off res. with fluid.
cycled U/D/L/R again dozen times worked great.

then locked right again(going R is fine. its when trying L seems to lock)

pulled disco's, connected angle rams togather, full R to full L moved fine no binding

    valve check time??

Thats what I would check. It is only getting stuck after angling the whole way to right to the point the pump loads up?

what might be a next test, when the plow gets stuck, disconnect the main pos. push the stick or rubber band it to the left and see if the valve is getting pwr and gnd. might be loosing signal pwr or the coil might be getting hot and shorting out.

no, any point angleing R(smooth operations) ill stop...
    press L switch..
pumps on,plow jerks slightly(as if it tried to go L)..no movement.
if you keep L switch on, pumps running, but the tone will change
1st few seconds it sound "normal",then sounds like the "up position" I mentioned earlier

With it not doing it right now it is hard to test anything. But no left at all sound like coil, valve or controller. Possible bad/dirty connection may be causing your intermittent conditions.

left ram extended..(extending right). what allows the fluid to return to res.?
beginning to think that's the "hold up"
