old western cable style problem

    went plowing today and the plow would not raise totally,got out and seen fluid coming out of the lift cable cover plate.so i pull the plate and have the wifey raise the plow and noticed fluid coming out of the expansion plug.anyone ever have to change one? the western site listed it as #55591 expansion plug 1/4" can this plug be purchased at an auto parts store? or is it a special plug?

    do you have a western dealer around you?
    Are you referring to the quick connect on the hose? where is the expansion plug?

    it's a convex style plug you would be hard pressed to find a parts or machine shop that handles them any more they used to sell them in dorman product's ,a little permatex #1 and a light tap with a hammer and you are in business .
