Does anyone know if there is a permit required for having an amber light on my truck while plowing in NJ? I know you must have a permit to run blue lights (I have one for my blue lights- I'm a vol EMT). Anyone know?

    Matt,

You do need a permit, I have never been hassled except at inspection, but I only run mine in the lots I plow, never on the raod.

Yes, A permit is technically required. I usually keep my warning lights on during the snow event the whole time unless I am parked for a coffee break...then I'll let them cool off...lol. I have never been hassled and I don't know anyone that has been hassled.
