Working on a 96 dodge ram 1500 the left side light is dim,and so is the factory light on truck when the harness is plugged in. The right side works perfect. Any suggestions?

    Two things.....

First, check the headlight fuses in the fuse box.. (can't remember if they had a left and right headlight fuse back in '96 or not)

Next, disconnect the stock headlight plug from the plow light adapter harness and plug it back into the stock headlight........is it still dim?

Corrosion in the plug or plug leads. I had the same problem.

truck headlight works fine when I disconnect the harness. Could the module be bad?

Is there a good way to clean the connector?

It could be the module..the easy way to test them is to swap them side to side and see if the dim light swaps side's too or not...

Make sure all the connections are clean...look at them real close.
