Hi all, I plan on buying a 2006 chevy dually,w/ dump body this monday. Trading my 2000 reg cab 8" bed. Question. My understanding is GM's rear axle is narrower than the others.
Can I get away with going to a 8 1/2 foot blade or just do the 9 footer? Plowing residential drives only.
    Boss is my prefered plow.

If the truck started life as a cab/chassis the axle is narrower than if it was a dually pickup. Cab/chassis is only like a foot wider than a single rear wheel, where a dually is like two feet wider.
