new truck same plow

    right now i have a 98 dodge 2500 that i am tring to get rid of and get an 07 what all would i have to get to switch the plow over. i the wiring harness the same.

    Depends on what specific make and model of your plow.... but you'll need at least a new mount and some wiring changes at the very minimum.

    i tried to find out on the quickmatch and it aid the same plow prep package. i know i will need the pin adapter and new undercarrage. i guess i realy jut wanted to know about the harness

    I went from a 96 Dodge 2500 to a 06 Dodge 2500 and the wiring and mounts are completely different - had to buy all new. Easy to install though so you can save some money and do it yourself. Sorry for the bad news!!!!!!

    Last I checked, equipmentspecialistsinc.com had the mount for $465 and harness for $165.

    i just looked and it was 565 for undercarrage and 265 for wiring harness but then i need the adaptor. i have a hunch that the wiring harness it universal except the adaptor. could i tade it in at the dealer maby.

    i had my 8 yr. old boss on a 93 ramcharger, 05 ram & now on a 07 ram, the wire harness is the same. you will need a headlight adapter kit. about $100

    Funny the OP never mentioned what kind of plow he even had. Kinda makes it tough to help.

    i have a 7'6" boss straight blade. does have what i need but not driving to ny for it.
