I had to retire my old plow truck and picked this up a few weeks ago. It's all wired up now, all I have to install is the truckside mount. Have it but haven't had time to do it.

I picked up this BackRack and a beacon light the other day on craigslist -- it's for a Ford F250-350. Everything aligned perfectly on the truck bed rails but it is a little too high. I'm going to cut it today and drop it down 2 1/4 inches and re weld it so it isn't as high above the roofline.

Put new tires on this past weekend so I'm almost ready to roll. Can't believe it's almost December and I'm not worried that I am not ready to plow yet! Weather's just been sooo warm.

I have an 8 foot Meyer poly plow that I am going to put on it. I had the whole setup except the truck side mount. I went back and forth on getting an 8'2" Boss VXT and couldn't bring myself to spend an extra 6k on a new plow when mine is only 2 years old.

BTW - I got a great deal on the truck - only 6k.

I would have to agree why drop antoher 6k when that meyer has plenty of life in it. I try to get a plow to last for 3 trucks witch is about 10 or 12 years.

Nice truck. I had a MY2001 that I purchased in the spring of 2000 that was similar to yours except it was green. Also, Patriot Blue is the official name for that color.

My transmission was rebuilt within the last 10,000 miles before I bought the truck - did you have any problems with your tranny? I know that Dodge has had some tranny issues in the past.

I only put about 35,000 miles on the truck before I traded it. But to answer your question no I did not have any tranny trouble. The truck should have the 46re tranny and if it was rebuilt right (meaning better than stock) you will be fine. If not, then you can build it bomb proof yourself ifwhen it blows.
