Steve, I notice that you are from my neck of the woods, Madison. I don't do this professionally, usually just for parents, brother and an elderly neighbor. Last year people "noticed" that I have a plow and would call when it was just too much to shovel or blow. What is the average price on a driveway that is between 200- 300 feet. Also, was asked to plow 800 feet to a barn for another. Most are pretty straight, maybe a slight curve with a garage at the end. Not looking to gouge these people, looking to be fair and get what it is worth. Thanks

I would say at least $60-80 a push for something like that. The 800' to the barn I would say about $125.00 a push since I know it isn't paved. I just gave a guy a quote on a 100' long drive and I told him $ 600.00 for the season.

What do you guys think. Is this too low. Plow and salt the lot posted above for 150.00 up to 3" then an extra $25 per 3 inches on top of that.Does this sound Fair. This is my first commercial lot. Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't do it for any less and I would just do it for 150.00 a push.

Rule of thumb: NEVER include salt. Always charge a flat rate for salting with salt included. It is so much easier for the customer.

I have another lot. This one is a little bigger.Front is approx. 160 x 75. Rear is approx. 160x85 Also this lot is rough in the rear. There are many potholes and broken pavement in spots. I guess I should charge more for that also being that care must be taken possibly damage to my plow. Any ideas on price. Thanks Again

    Hey Noot,
I actually quoted him 100 up to 3",then $25 each additional 3 inches. The salt I had quoted by itself for $80.00. Does that sound like a fair price for that lot above?
