Welcome to Plowsite! It's kinda hard to tell from your pic but if it has 2 trip springs then it is the standard Western Plow. If it has 3 springs then it is the Pro plow.

I was thinking that's what it might be, but mine has more ribs (7) The standard western has 4. Thought it might be a Boss as well, but the previous owner said it was a western.
    Thanks for your help!:)

Its definetaly a Western Unimount plow. No doubt about that. I would say it's either a Standard plow or Sport Utility plow. Kinda like the LSX Model Western makes now.

7.5 foot or 8 foot Western uni-mount PRO-PLOW. The shock absorber is on the pro-plow models. 3 springs means it's at least 4 years old I think. Western switched to 4 springs on thier pro models a few years back

I would definetly agree that it is a Western Uni-mount PRO plow. Only because western does not offer the shock absorber on their light duty or regular plow, only a pro option. It's hard to judge from the angle but I would say that its got to be a 7.5 but more likely an 8' blade. Keep in mind it may not look like westerns that are floating around today because of the ultramount they came out with, and the periodic re-design of their blades.

    Happy plowing,

Yes, it is the truck that was on eBay last week. I was looking for a 3/4 ton 4x4 diesel, and this one just happened to have a plow. Just so happens, one of the condos that I mow requires snow management. Not that we get much of it here in Knoxville. Thanks for the help guys. I was on the Western site, but was having trouble deciding which one it was because they have changed their design. I am picking up the truck on thurs. But would like to go ahead and get the emergency kit for the plow. Any helpful tips on this plow would be a great help. i.e. trouble shooting occasional problems. Not very well versed when it comes to the plow world. Thanks!!! p.s. Good luck to all of you NE guys. Looks bad from where I stand.

One more thing. Is this a pretty good plow, for commercial use? Not that it will even get any use around here.

Well, the truck is doing great. But, the plow has been sitting since I got it. It also works, but not without snow!!! Guess I shouldn't expect much here in TN
