My local distributor wants $6500 for a VXT installed, includes latest tech controller, hitch system. Seems high from what I've been reading. Is it? He has the Snowdogg economical brands V's for $4800 installed. Seems like a Boss should cost that?

Am I off, and if no can someone get to a dealer that is properly priced please. Thanks!

Theres a reason why a Boss is $6500 and Snowdogg is $4900....You connect the dots....Thumbs Up

That is what I kind of figured. When I asked to buy and just install myself, he quoted a little over $5800 still...

I just got a 9.2 poly vxt for 5495.00 cash and carry.
    wings for 800.00

Install was 450.00 if I wanted it.

Have them install the truckside for 245
(shop rates vary), and build the plow yourself in 3 hours... I just did it.

6,500.00 sounds awfully high. I paid 5,500.00 for a VXt 8 ft 2 installed last year. Have they gone up that much in one year? Everything goes up and the rates are still heading South.

Average dealer here wants $8800 Cdn ($9000 US) for a 9'2" VXT Poly ... installed. Yeah, I'd count my blessings too. Thumbs Up
I've come to think that it's the distributors that are escalating prices to the moon. Dealers that buy direct obviously can save a lot of dough ... but who knows. Volume must also play a role.

Well that stinks,But unfortunatley we all know to well that it does go on as far uping the ante on all this stuff .Buy itfor lets say 2.500 and mark it up oh lets say 50%and then tell ya to shipping and tax and all the other BS. When in fact its just means they want more money in there pocket. So as consumers we all pay the price. Now just so no wrong doing is BLAMED.WE ALL KNOW NOT EVERYONE OPERATES LIKE THIS OR NOT AS HIGH OF A MARKED UP.
