I just picked up my 2013 3500HD with dump body. Now comes the decision on which plow. It used to be so easy...straight blades only !! So, I do mainly parking lots. I have a Fisher "V" on my p/u truck. I like it and it is very efficient. I am interested in the XLS. I like the 8-10 ft. capability and scoop feature for the lots. I guess my apprehension come from the extra cost and all the moving pieces and parts.

I always used a straight blade and had no issues, though a faster, more efficient method is a good thing. Let me know your feeling, pros, cons, etc.

It will cost 200.00 more when changing cutting edges.

The XLS makes boss fans jealous

I am looking for a fisher xtreme v 9.5 because i do drives and small roads and small lots, and here in nh we can get hit with very deep, wet and heavy snow. if i were doing mostly lots like you, then i would go with the xls all the way!

Thought that was only for blizzards? Never saw them on a wideout or xls

I think you mean 8' or 10'. Or 9'3" in scoop correct ?
