new chevy half ton

    Does anyone plow with new body style half ton?. I have a 2009 chevy silveardo half ton i just bought a fisher 7.5 ft plow . I was wondering how the truck does plowing?

    Do you have a 5.3? One of the best V8's out there...amazing on fuel.

    What configuration do you have? reg cab/ext cab/ crew ?

    i have a 2009 silverado 1500 extra cab with 4.8L i just bought a fisher 7.5 ft minute mount 2 . how do you guy think it do?

    Should be fine, just know its limits and plow smart. Might wanna add a trans temp gauge if its not on the computer function....

    i have a temp gauge . what is a normal tranny temp when plowing?

    My father in law has an 8' HD on his 2010 Sierra 1500. Handles the plow fine.

    My temp on my 2500 actually stays below normal driving temps when warm... so, Id check the owners manual and follow that guide. Iv never overheated my trans while plowing.
