    hey all i recently bought a 1984 pontiac firebird with no motor just the 5 speed tranny and i was wondering if a 327 would bolt in there and bolt up to the transmission???

    If it had a V8,the 327 will bolt in,you will have a few issues to resolve.One of them is the heads are different,with 3 bolts on the end ex manifold.This will create problems with acessorys and you will not be able to put all the bolts in.another problem is the drivers side dipstick,it will not fit with the ex manifold.You can slove both these problems by running a set of headers,jsut be sure they will fit before you buy them.The old 327 may not have the bolt holes on the ends of the head to accept the ,alt,AIR,and p/s, pump too.
