New 8 foot straight blade

    I have a 2008 F350 CC diesel with the 8 blizzard straight blad.
    Anyone have a set up like this to offer any advice?

    i have the same plow on a2500hd.i would encourage a set of wings for it.good luck.

    Sounds to me like you have a good set-up. If it would have been a dually I would have said you need a bigger blade.

    hey,getten any use out of your new blade?its been pretty slow here.my 2accounts have 4inch triggers,and havn't even gotten that yet.we don't see any real snow until dec/jan.
    the wings help with less clean up and push more snow.i have the 860sw that i use on my lots and it has probably cut my time in half compaired to the straight blade.good luck.

    LMAO...theres more than that. I own a fairly good size landscape company, so we are working all year round, but we have quite a bit of winter work with a hospital and a cpl malls and im guessing I have too many smaller accounts this year...the phone just hasn't stopped ringing. just in the past 2 weeks I'd guess I've had 15-20 calls wanting bids...never had calls this late before ...I ended up giving all of them to some other contractors.

    It gets installed Thursday.
    Right now its raining....:)
    My bldgs trigger at 5cm (2") plus i have to lay down salt if it freezes.
    So far one visit is all
