Neighbors think I'm Crazy ....

    ... Maintenance time. The plow goes in the shop tomorrow for some fresh hydraulic fluid. I told my neighbors that snow is in the forecast for the weekend. It is 90 degrees right now. LOL

    They are laughing now .... I will revisit this thread when it is snowing .... at the shop right now

    Any snow in Lancaster yet? Still dry here only an 1". I'm feeling knda guilty might need to give money back next year.

    Well I spent $1600 on gas last year so if its a lot less this year its money I didn't earn and doesn't really count toward the "insurance of snow removal" the customer paid for. Its early in the season though who knows we could be plowing snow in May. I wonder how many seasonals would try to charge for plows after contract ends after having an unusually light plow season and whether they thought it would affect re-enlisting the following year.

    Do you think your insurance company is feeling or ever feels guilty when you don't put in a claim but just pay pay pay

    I don't follow (what others do). If it makes sense to me and seems fair I do it. Like I said the insurance part is covered and not refunded just the material (gas) cost could be if there is extra do to the truck sitting. Depreciation not refunded either , just material costs not realized.

    If I took a picture of my rig the only difference would be I have a dodge and arctic poly and the only green around isnt in my wallet it the grass.
