Needs Tming Specs

    Does anyone happen to know the timing spec on a '94 K-5 Blazer 5.7 ? Also.. spark plug gap ?

    Plug gap is .035 in
    Timing is 0deg with timing connector unplugged (tan wire with black stripe under heater case inside cab may need to lift the carpet to see it.):waving:

    Can it be disconnected from the dist.?

    Found it, thanks. What exactly is the purpose on doing this ? I'm assuming its as if its disconnecting the vacuum advance on an older chevy ?

    the reason you unplug the wire is to but the distributor in base timing mode. since they are computer controlled they can adjust themselves with in a specified number of degrees. by doing this it disables the computer. not doing this would make it almost impossible to time.
