I have been at it for 3 years now and I am curious, is it bad or hard on the plow to either a) turn with the plow down and b) is bad or hard on the plow to angel it while the plow is in use?

What nekos said. Common to straighten the blade under load to push over a curb. All the time.

you can use the blade to help push yourself out of a stuck situation by angling the blade

if i couldn't angle the plow while down or turn with it angled it would triple my plow times.
