Where's the best spot to pickup parts for my XLS? I need new wing edges, a regular steel edge, and the front pump cover. I assume I can just grab the 8' steel edge locally, but order the wings and covers online? Any suggestions?

What about plow side electronics, should I have spare parts for anything on the unit itself?

Almost forgot about the wear bars for the wings also. This girl was run kinda hard and put up wet, so I want to get it back up to 100%. Probably going to blast and paint the edges and rusty areas. especially under the springs on the bottom. Here's couple pics. Price was right, even in the condition, so I scooped it up.

And one of taking it home.

All of these are just because I know how much you guys enjoy plow porn, when in reality you could have answered the question without any pics.

Fallines.com for the wing edges...Local dealer for main cutting edge..I think it's a 7' - 6" cutting edge...The wing edges on your plow pictured are on backwards

$2k. I don't usually like those guys. Maybe I'll give them another try.

Wow that's a crazy good deal, wish I found it. Wanna sell it. Never had a problem with them, I'd give another try.

The wing edges have gone way down through the dealers (part 50626). Call Lang's in my signature, they'll set you up. You can use a standard 7.5 cutting edge (5532), but they're thin, I'd order the original (50678).

The front pump cover only comes in the kit....I believe. The part number is 49454.

It's a great plow, so long as everything is in working order, you won't be disappointed. Given the age, or rather abuse, coupled with the presence of so much rust; I'd keep a relay on hand. The the other thing that occasionally goes wrong is the the s1 & s2 valves (under back cover with the quill), but I'm not so sure I'd carry them around, just be aware of them if it stops going up or down.). I'd also recommend changing out the fluid and filter...never know what the track record has been...Filter 26781-3 & seal 66519. Ask Paul or Tyler when you get them on the phone, there maybe a "Filter Kit" that's cheaper.

First time Ive heard of someone not liking OnSite! What was the issue with them if you dont mind me asking? Instead of driving 5 miles down the road to CapCity, I usually go to OnSite if time permits.

    THEIF!

    Haha.

I have yet to do a thing to the plow besides pressure wash all of the gravel out of it. It was used hard and put up wet, and the wings sounded god awful with all the grit. A good blasting and subsequent lube with a bunch of fluid film got it working perfect.

The last two small storms I ran it with the edges exactly as they sit, just because I have been too busy with final exams to work on it. It performed pretty close to perfect. New edges will be icing on the cake next week.

My edges were worn similar to yours although not as bad and i just flipped them from side to side. You have to replace the main edge if you do the outer edges.
