Looking to purchase a new 7' Fishers-polyhopper. I can purchase last years model (Belt driven and one electric motor) for $3500 or this years model (chain driven and two independent electric motor) for $4700. I am currently using a western Ice Breaker spreader, but tired of so much yearly maintenance. I also see that all web-sites recommend the inverted V to help off set the weight on the conveyor. Anyone used both spreaders and have any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
