Re: Request For Snow Removal Services

DTH Contract Services, Inc., property management for various VDOT Safety Rest Areas located in northern Virginia, is currently soliciting bid proposals for snow removal services at the Fredericksburg and Dale City north and southbound car and truck Safety Rest Areas (SRA's).
    The successful contractor will:
    1. Be able to respond to the SRA's within 30 minutes of supervisor notification of need for services.
    2. Will provide reliable contact information (names, phone numbers, etc.) to DTH Contract Services, Inc.
    3. Will adhere to DTH Contract Services, Inc. Snow Removal Guidelines (copy to be provided).
    4. Will provide methods of snow removal and chemicals/materials to be used. Sand and chemical mix is acceptable.
    5. Will provide chemical descriptions and MSDS sheets.
    6. Have adequate equipment quantities to respond at each SRA simultaneously (total of five), not one SRA at a time.

The site supervisor is responsible for determining the need for pre-treating lots as well as contractor snow event response. Contractor will be called to clear lots only after one inch of snow has accumulated on site or if weather forecasts predict significant snow accumulation.

The successful contractor will provide current W-9 and Certificates of Insurance to the DTH home office, documents may be faxed to (910) 892-5158.
