need help with 95 3/4 ton 4wd????

    when i go to put this truck in 4wd it blows the 4wd 25amp fuse! anybody got and suggestions?
    thanks! we have 10 inches of snow on the ground and i have no 4wd!

    sounds like your front axle aucator is bad ihave replaced several check wiring to it first

    I just had my front actuator replaced. It looks like the dealer put some kind of foil around some of the wiring, I guess to protect it from the heat. I don't remember seeing this before.

    were is this located? is this a dealer item only? how do i check to see if it is bad?

    it is located on the right front axle tube it is a round soleniod with a wire running to it unplug wire that runs to it see if fuse blows if it dont check for wiring to it you can get them from napa or 4x4 shops rancho sells a improved model
