I just changed the B&C valves on my pump. The coils that cover the valves do not touch the bottom block anymore. when my old valves were in the coil covers touched the block. is this a problem because when i try to angle right, the plow goes left and when i try to raise the plow nothing happens at all....

Compare the old valves to the new ones. Are they exactly the same?

The only thing different is the size of the nut. On the new valves the nuts are quarter inch thick, on the old ones the nuts are eighth of an inch thick which is causing the coils to not sit flush on the block....

Check for magnetism with a screw driver at the solenoids while someone else controls the switches. You could also check for power at the solenoids with a test lite.
