I have 3 of the same controlers I Have had problems with all of them dealer told me to buy new controler boxes. went to radio shack and bought new switches for $2.00
test switches before buying a new box just swap them around to test

i know this is old... But the switches you are talking about replacing are the on/off and the vibrator switches?
Min e sometimes stick and wont turn on unless you really switch the hard. I was thinking of trying to open the box up and replacing them but was unsure if that would work.

They are really easy to replace...sometimes it's not the switches at all, it's just the power lead jumper coming from your ignition source fuse. Check that it is tight before taking apart the box.
