Well it is about time to start gettign stuff ready, but we got a newish tractor that needs a blade. It is a JD 9220 and we are thinking of a degelman blade, since that is what we have on the other two, But we are wondering about the icebreaker model to maybe save time having wings on it. Or is there anyone that makes a blade with hydraulic wings or sideplates for that size of tractor. The reason we are thinking abouth going this route compare to a regular blade, like the other tractors, is that out snocat has wings and it is just so much faster.

    Thanks

Well i guess my dad priced out a horst too with the wings and they seem like a good setup, anyone else have one of these?

we ran Deglemen 20 years ago and having no trip didn't work for us plowing pavement. The horst is a well made blade and I just happen to have a 16 ft 5000 series with hydraulic end plates that I want to sell. The blade itself weighs 4280 lbs and it's still on it's first cutting edge. Here's a vid of the blade and another one of how the harness works. The harness is for a MX 255 but it could easily be made to fit a 9220. The only reason we are selling it is because the blade is a little big for the type of work we do.

Well i guess this thread was pointless, as my dad ended up ordering a HLA 5200 snowwing series blade today. I will at least try and get some pics up when it arrives.

A neighbor got a HLA 5200 last year, be careful of the universal joint it leaked on his, just thought I would pass it on.
