    Thats for sure. How does the 502 compare to the Dmax? And not in fuel mileage, lol.

    i thought a 8.1 was a 496 not a 502??? i may be wrong

    Both the 502 and 572 are GM parts but are not put in vehicles. It's kind of like being able to get a 426 hemi from Mopar. If you want it, they have it, but it's not going to be very accepted buy the green people out there in a production vehicle.

    GM sells lots of them for marine use

    I know there is the 572 :D but I had thought the 502 was the 8.1 which I have been informed is actually a 496. And I think ford racing makes a 6 something. I believe they put it in a guys boss mustang on overhaulin.

    Diesel Wins

    The Diesel has its good points especially the torque. I like the 6 speed allison too.
    Both trucks never let me down.

    DID YOU LIFT THEM???? WHAT ARE YOU GETTING FOR GAS MILEAGE WITH THE D-MAX????

    I GOT A 2007 AND I'M ONLY GETTING ABOUT 15 MPG.:cry:

    yes


    I lifted the 02 with a 3" Body kit and the 06 i put keys and 33's on.

    I get 14 mpg

    12 -14 mpg with some stop and go traffic. been a while since i checked maybe more? maybe less?

    i miss my 02 8.1 better than my 05 6.0

    our 07 gets 17-18 highway and 15 in town and you got to love the 6speed
