When I hit the down buttton it drops to the ground like there is no resistance?

Any idea, everything else works fine

The Uni-mount manual says that there is a quill in the top of the manifold block that adjusts the blade drop speed.
    1. Lower the blade to the ground before making adj.
    2. Turn the quill in (clockwise) to decrease drop speed. Turn the quill out (counterclockwise) to increase drop speed.
    3. LOL says to stand 8' clear of the blade when checking adj.
This came from page 15 of the mechanics guide hope it helps, remember quills may be oxidized because of the aluminum, so be careful, and good luck.
