My 2000 chev Z71 1500, no plow will be going on it (270 000km's and just about ready to be retired), hopefully i'll have an ok winter and a good enough spring to lease a brand new 2500HD deisel standard cab long box.

So basicaly i've been cutting grass for 2 years full time now and last winter plowed snow part time. Last winter i lost money plowing snow and renting that JD skid steer to do it with. I got lucky and won $3000 at casino niagara and picked up this 2005 Honda Rubicon 500 with the 5ft waren plow. I hope to get 35-40 resi driveways and hit them all with this 4 wheeler and that will get me off to a good start for the spring, and then the new truck that i'll get a boss 8.2vxt for for the following winter, but for now, this is what i got

i know some of you guys didnt belive me last year, but i was shoveling and snow blowing by hand 25 driveways last year befor i got the call for 2 parking lots and annother few houses in january, so that was like 8 plowable events by hand.... i'm 21 and am in good shape, i think i can do 35-40 houses

i love driving by guys doing parking lots by hand. Plus did u say you cant do it faster but you can do it cheaper. We may need to rethink your business plan. Making money working is better than not working but you need to make a profit sooner or later, we were all 21 once but soon you are not. Do you have insurance and incidentals to pay for? 40 houses will keep you busy. I like the quad though it is way better than by hand.

no sir you have me mistaken, i am insured and have a business licence, and have additional slip and fall coverage, and actualy my pricing is high in my area, I rented a skid steer last winter because i was too busy to just use snow blowers

Man, some of you guys are really critical. Go ask the neighbor boy down the street that shovels 4-5 driveways if he has insurance. Theres lots of guys here that plow driveways with 4 wheelers. As long as they get atleast 25-30.00 for them I could care less how they do them.

Trust me there are more men out there with plow trucks that plow that don't have insurance trying to make beer money. This guy is just trying to make a living

That thing looks like fun, but you could sell it and buy yourself a truck with a plow for that... I've paid less than half that for a couple trucks that plowed all winter. Just a thought. Good luck either way!
