I sold my Samurai and picked up a Ranger. I built a mount and put the blade off the Samurai on it.
    Its a 1989 XLT V6 5sp.

Just my drive, it does fine. Its longer than the Samurai so I have to watch the rear.

I used 6in channel off the frame. 2x2x1/4 tube for the uprights and center cross tube. 2x2x1/4 angle for the top and bottom cross tubes and the brance from the lower bar to the frame.

I looked up the Western mount and sort of made it.
I can put the bumper back on, but just haven't done it yet.

Here is a pic before I got it done.

Looks good and should hold up just find,
I made a mount for my boss rt, I bolted and welded everthing so it will hold up to the punishment of plowing and so far so good, I check after ever plow time to make sure everthing is good and its holding up great so far,
If you can weld and bolt everthing you can, and you should be just fine.

You did what I did and over killed everthing,

I have 2 pics in there & I have a video on youtube of it. I think it is under "snow samurai"
I mow and plow on the side & my full time job is fixing trailers and we also make hitches for dump trucks sometimes, so yes I did over build it a little. If you over build it the first time, you don't have to rebuild it.
